![]() ![]() I am finding it really difficult to review as I have such mixed feelings on the product overall! So to break it down let’s start with the coverage, it’s a decent full coverage straight off the bat with just one pump, though even this can look a bit makeupy so I’d be really nervous of trying to build up with additional layers. I have this in the shade 3 neutral which is a really good match, using the shade finder on the Charlotte tilbury website was really helpful as you can put in a foundation and colour you know matches you well and it will recommend the most suitable shade for you. The one good thing i would say is is photographs amazingly but it is very heavy and not a good day foundation Upon application i found if i didnt work quickly it became hard to blend and stuck in places ( i always serum and moisturise and prime before putting foundation one). It looked absolutely flawless upon application ( i always use the urban decay setting spray to make it last) however after lunch time it began to look ashy on my face and after finishing work was patchy in alot of places and looked really ashy (like i was wearing a powder foundation) not the look i was going for. Once happy with the colour i tried the foundation for a good week. Next day when i put it on the coverage was incredible and looked flawless, however the shade given was far to pale so i returned for a slightly darker colour. I actually asked the make up artist at charlotte tilbury for a tester pot of the foundation to go along with my purchase so i could try that before breaking into the bottle (I was informed that they didn't do tester pots as they have a foundation colour for everyone and the colour i have is perfect for my skin) i had a voucher so i bought it anyway and it looked fine in the shop. I was so excited to try this foundation as i had read rave reviews and seen incredible differences on instagram pages etc. Still not sure if I will repurchase but wanna keep trying it and use it. Overall I do like this foundation however it’s took me a long time to figure out how to use as I am a light coverage kind of girl. Throughout the day it wore well and the oils on my forehead seemed to be controlled which I was very happy with! It did go a bit patchy on my chin but I am really dry in that area, i was half expecting this, so I would need to take this out maybe if I was to go out all day to just top us around the chin or just use a concealer. ![]() Phew! It didn’t fully dry down as I only powder my t-zone with her airbrush flawless powder but it does still transfer. It blended and melted on the skin much better but does give you a more fuller coverage which I didn’t mind too much as long as it didn’t look caked on which it didn’t. So I gave up with the brush and went back to my old ways and used a beauty blender. On application I tried to follow charlottes way of using a brush with little product (as I heard a lot goes a long way) but after doing this a few times it just never seemed to look quite right on my skin and I was becoming frustrated cause I really wanted to love this foundation (especially because I just spent £34 on it). I was a little scared to put it on my face but proceeded anyways! Luckily it was a good match ! so glad I did! I am a neutral tone so I chose (5 neutral) and it still looked a little yellow when I first tried it on the back of my hand. After searching for a few days and going back and forth with the Nars foundation I finally made the decision to purchase this, and found the foundation finder and colour matcher on her website very helpful although I did think the one they matched me with would have been too dark so I went a shade lighter but with the same undertone. When my skin started to become blemish galore during lockdown I was on the hunt for a foundation that not only covered my blemishes but also helped it to. ![]()
