This product was the worst waste of my time and money that I can ever think of.Internal Silver Reflective Mirror Privacy Window Film But I’d still put money on it that the corners will begin to peel, just like all the honest reviews state. Also, MAYBE, JUST MAYBE, if you have two people working together on it, practice a few times, and have glass that is on the floor rather than hanging, some surgical tools available to separate the cover and like an hour of spare time, you MAY be able to get this to work for ONE window. So if you are ok with it looking like crap from the inside to get privacy on the outside, this may work for you. Now from the outside, I’ll give it to them, it does work for privacy. Top left corner never really stuck, the squeegee in their kit ripped the bottom where it meets the window lock, there are bubbles everywhere (maybe they go away later?), it blocks about half of the light coming in, and their razor blade does not cut evenly so it looks unprofessional. I did manage to get it on, but the results were terrible. Next attempt I went inch by inch putting it on the window as to not have that happen again (after another 10 minutes again of trying to peel the cover off of course). Once off, even following instructions wetting the film as I took it off, it rolled onto itself putting it on the window since it is so tightly rolled in the box, it wants to go back that way. Fake reviews maybe? First, it took me 10 minutes to try to peel off the cover. Have no idea how anyone rated this product more than 1 star. This may quite literally be the worst product I ever purchased from Home Depot. Watch the videos - do exactly as they do and it works - it’s easier with two people to separate the film from the clear layer - and wetting BOTH sides of the product before removing the clear layer helps a TON- that was a tip on a different product that I used - and check for film not laying flat against the window - trim it away from all silicone and window trim I had trouble with a few edges on a few windows - I rewatched the video and realized I didn’t stop 2 inches from the sides when I did my first round of squeegee - this seemed to make a difference- I kept repeating the process of wetting, squeegee and hard card pressing and it stuck - one window took 5 tries but it stuck -also, when it would roll off the window, I noticed that the silicone sealer on the window was in the way and I had to trim the film away from it -Īlso- if your edges raise- you may still have too much liquid under the film- keep pressing excess solution out with the hard card I have spot lights on the front of my house year round which helps maintain the mirror privacy at night- I also only covered the bottom 1/2 of my windows so I can see at night above the window film if I have to look out - during day one can’t tell windows have film bc one can still see the shades/blinds on top portion of the window.
